A special relationship …

Sam and Dolly are becoming best friends now.  They are starting to share their toys and beds now, and they are keeping each other warm on these chilly days now that we’ve evicted them from OUR bed ….

Dogs? What dogs??

Guy emailed this to me:

She spent a lot of the day in that bed, and even when Sam and Dolly came right up and got in her face, she wouldn’t move. Obviously, that’s not going to be a problem anymore ….

Guy went to the shelter and paid the adoption fee for Dolly yesterday, so she’s officially ours.
He said the girl there made an interesting comment, to the effect that they were very happy we adopted Dolly because they “considered her unadoptable”. I of course asked Guy why they said that and he didn’t really [...]

The webcam crashed around 3:30, but prior to then all I saw was an occasional cruise through the living room. Dolly laid on the couch for a bit in the afternoon, but I never saw Sam. He must have enjoyed having the bed to himself.

So, today is a big test. Guy has to work in town most of the day so this is the first time the dogs will be left home alone together for more than an hour or so, and the first time Dolly will have to go without peeing for 8 hours.

So far, so good …..

Well, Dolly is settling right in here.  Dusty has asserted her position in the pack, and Sam and Dolly have bonded big time.  Dolly is still a little unsettled, but that’s to be expected, with new owners, new food, new friends, and all the excitement, but she’s doing great ….
